Windows 2000 Server |
| The now aging backbone of many companies this stable server platform provides
performance and reliability to everything from small companies to multi-nationals. |

 |
Windows Server 2003 |
| A newer server operating system from Microsoft. It provides the same reliabilty
as its older brother with a host of new features and support for a wider range of operations. |

Linux |
| Often favoured by developers and web hosting companies this open source platform
provides both stability and power. The benefit of the open source product is the
price tag, with free versions readily available. One draw back is its failure to
play well with Windows, something that is being continually worked on. |

FreeBSD |
| Branching from the same place a Linux, BSD also provides both stability and
power. There is rarely much difference between the two platforms until you dig
deep down. |
